PUPIL PREMIUM
Greenfield & Pulloxhill Academy receives a Pupil Premium Grant for each child who is entitled to receive Free School Meals or who has been entitled over the last six years, and for any Looked After Children or children who have been adopted. There is also a smaller provision made for those pupils who have a parent currently serving in the armed services or has served over the last six years.
Neither the government nor any government agencies have dictated how the Pupil Premium money should be spent, but what is clear is that the money should be used to promote strategies which narrow the attainment gap between the highest and lowest achieving pupils. This includes investment in both academic and pastoral areas.
At Greenfield & Pulloxhill Academy we take care in deciding the best way to spend and distribute the pupil premium funding. We consider each child on an individual basis; assessing academic data, making observations, considering barriers to their learning and any other special factors that may impact the child’s ability to learn.
