SCHOOL COUNCILS
What is School Council?
The school council works to make improvements to the school and the way we do things at Greenfield & Pulloxhill Academy. We look around for things that could be better and discuss what to do in our meetings. The school councillors get a chance to share their ideas and then we vote on the best and start working on them. We also help out with carrying out charitable events.
Our School Council
Greenfield School Council led by Miss Morgan
Pulloxhill School Council led by Mrs Morrissey-Pawar.
Each year children are selected by their peers on who they think would be good representatives for our school council. Two representatives are chosen from each class. Through the process of electing candidates, the children may be asked to conduct a speech or application on why they want to be a school councillor, and what they intent to do.
Children in Need - November 2023
Children at Greenfield and Pulloxhill schools held a Mufti day and a colouring competition to raise money for Children in Need. School council representatives made posters to promote the day which were displayed in their classroom windows. We had some amazing colouring competition entries from Nursery through to Year 4 and we shared the winners in collective worship where we also learnt what we were raising money for.
Young Minds Mental Health - October 2023
Children at Greenfield and Pulloxhill schools held a 'wear yellow day' to support the Young Minds Mental Health charity.
