Butterflies
Butterflies are taught by Mrs. Haimes and assisted by Mrs Burton. Our class is made up of Year 1 and Year 2 children and we all support each other. Our classroom is near to the swimming pool and we aim to make it an inviting place that people like to visit. We work extremely hard and have lots of fun!
Here are some of the things you may like to know about Butterfly class:
- We think it is very important to work hard and remember the ‘Values’ we follow as a school.
- We learn and regularly practise a cursive handwriting style to improve the presentation of our work.
- Talking Partners are important to us. Each week we have a different partner from our year group, and we discuss ideas and our teacher’s questions with our partner. In this way we help and support each other in our learning. It’s like making a different friend each week!
- In Year 1, when appropriate, we have weekly spellings.
- In Year 2 we start to learn our number bonds and tables and you will be amazed at how well we do.
- We have swimming in our own pool during the last half term.
