GSA (Greenfield School Association)

The GSA is our schools ‘Parent Teacher Association’.  We became a registered charity in March 2003, charity number is 1096615.  We aim to raise funds to benefit the children at Greenfield Lower School and to make decisions as to where the monies are best spent.  Also, we try to liaise between the parents and the school and help parents become more involved in their child’s school life.

We have successfully raised funds to provide the school with many useful and enjoyable things. Last year the money was spent on:

  • Toys for the Robin's Nest and classroom
  • Year 3 & 4 Day trip to Flitwick Leisure Centre
  • End of year visit from the "Animal Man" - entertainer
  • Xylophone Capers
  • School Texting Service
  • Father Christmas treat for each class
  • Learning Log Feedback Stamps

Traditionally the monies raised by the GSA are used for "Added Value" items for the school rather than curriculum necessities. However in the current economic climate this situation may need to change. If anyone with new ideas for spending GSA money,or would like to get involved, in any form, please talk to one of the committee members or to Mrs Shuttle in the school office.  We always welcome new ideas and new people. We are always in need of help.

On this page, we will provide you with a calendar of events, details of any help we may need and an update of our fundraising efforts.
