The Eagles Class

EagleThe Eagles are taught by Mrs Staff and assisted by Mrs Brown.

Year 4 is the final year at Greenfield. As they are the oldest children in the school they are given monitor roles and different responsibilities such as; taking the registers to the classes, putting on the listening music for assembly and taking lead positions on the Eco-committee and student council. They set a good example and show the rest of the school how to live the values.

They have weekly spellings, plus high frequency words to learn each term. During Year 4, they learn all their times tables and have weekly 2 minute tests to try to improve on their own scores. They also work hard to improve their maths, reading and writing skills.

Children in Eagles Class have the opportunity to go to France and Germany on residential trips accompanied by members of staff. They develop friendship links with children at a school in Germany and communicate with them by letters and emails.

Throughout the year links are developed with Arnold Middle School, so that the children are prepared and confident when making the transition.
